Every year, something special unfolds during Hanukkah.
A quiet joy that grows brighter with each passing night. Homes fill with the warm glow of candles, windows shine against the darkness, silver, blue and white decorations appear, joyful songs are sung, thoughtful gifts are shared, and families gather to celebrate together.
There is heartfelt laughter, food prepared with care, family traditions, and the simple happiness of being present and together with the people we love.
Yet behind the power of joy and celebration, Hanukkah carries a profoundly deeper meaning, one written in light and life.
It is the story of the Maccabees, a small group who stood with courage and conviction against overwhelming odds, refusing to give up their faith, their identity, or their belief in what was right.
It is the story of a single night’s worth of oil that burned for eight days and nights, a reminder that miracles often arrive quietly yet powerfully, when hope, perseverance, and the power of pure belief are enough.
Chanukah is a celebration of light prevailing even in dark times, of faith staying unshakeable even in the face of overhwelming odds, and of believing in what seems impossible with all of your heart.
Each candle adds to the light, night after night, reminding us that even the smallest flame can push back great darkness, that resilience, courage, and belief can change the course of history, and that by sharing our light with others we expand the light in the world.
My wish for you this Hanukkah is that the light you kindle brings warmth to your home and strength to your heart, that it reminds you of your own resilience and capacity for unyielding belief, and that the glow of these eight nights stays with you, guiding you forward with strength, courage, and faith - into the coming year and beyond.
Happy Hanukkah & Blessings to All.
